Merry Christmas from Mt Zion! Celebrate the Son!

We had the most beautiful Christmas programs that any church could have. Children were dressed as Mary and Joseph and had a baby doll in a manger as they sat on bales of straw. Children were dressed as shepherds and angels.

Rachel decorated the church inside and out in a candy cane theme. Ariel read the Christmas story out of Luke and we wove Christmas hymns and carols in between the reading.

At the end Geneva read the legend of the candy cane and then the children all took candy canes off the tree and passed them out to all the people.

We have the best Christmas treat bags ever and they were passed out to everyone and some taken to shut ins.

If you look for me at Christmas, you won't need a special star--

I'm no longer just in Bethlehem, I'm right there where you are.

You may not be aware of Me amid the celebrations--

You'll have to look beyond the stores and all the decorations.

But if you take a moment from your list of things to do

And listen to your heart, you'll find I'm waiting there for you.

You're the one I want to be with, you're the reason that I came,

And you'll find Me in the stillness as I'm whispering your name.

Love, Jesus
